Colorado city energy compliance: beyond Denver
A state-list search is only one part of a local compliance check.

Lakewood adopted Ordinance O-2026-8 in February 2026. Commercial, multifamily and public buildings 10,000 sq ft and larger must report 2025 energy use by December 31, 2026. We provide rule-based screening; we do not hold a Lakewood building-level compliance status list.
Fort Collins
Building Energy and Water Scoring generally covers commercial and multifamily buildings from 5,000 sq ft. The program has exclusions, including some industrial uses, so confirm eligibility with the city. Annual reporting is generally due June 1. Consult the official map when a property is absent here.
Aspen
Building IQ covers commercial properties from 5,000 sq ft. A covered-building list confirms a published listing; it does not supply an unpublished compliance status. Check the city’s reporting portal and current timeline.
Other Colorado cities
A city appearing in our state-record directory does not mean it has a separate local ordinance. State coverage, utility service territories and postal-city names are different boundaries. Confirm the parcel’s municipality and utility accounts.
